Lecture 8 - Homework

Continued developments for Monday's interim critique:

Poster 1:

Trying some new colours and different compositional layouts, keeping larger text for legibility.

This poster I have selected for critique tomorrow, it is a good conceptual development which has the text aligning differently with visual flow, firstly you read education. then flow upwards to it's compulsory which then leads you into the text and the information about what the poster is discussing, the simplistic colour background means the children stand out and they relate to you as they are staring directly out of the poster at the viewer.
The children are also making a slight heart shape also.

Poster 2:

Going back to basics and research and thinking about design techniques and what I need to really make a good poster and create a successful design which speaks to consumers and the target audiences of people in New Zealand, arguing the point that New Zealand has great state education which gives kiwi's a chance.

Trying different colours and a simplistic new layout, much cleaner than the last -

Selected poster for critique:

This poster with the word hello brings people in and want to read and know more about what this poster is saying to you, the use of information under the hello to express factual information in a logos type way brings through my points and ideas stronger. The colour scheme all being blue works well too as the eyes and the eyes really draw in your curiosity as a viewer.

I believe this poster does draw people in, and the bigger eyes and big bold hello means from a distance people will be drawn in to investigate further.
