Visual Presidents -
Some techniques and images which are well thought through and composed drawing on the techniques discussed throughout class:
Poster 1 -
This poster uses the technique of Satire with a humour feeling, but a strong underlying issue that is addressed. This poster is full of ihi with the scenario unfolding drawing on your emotional ties and wehi as this ties strongly with the emotions making you feel sad.
Poster 2 -
Similar to the last poster this one also uses simplistic illustrations of ihi to create strong emotional wehi ties as you see the dripping and the sad lonely polar bear with nowhere to go.
Poster 3 -
As a strongly photographic poster this relies on visual flow as you read through the image from top left to bottom right and visualise the boy drinking from dirty water as his reflection is a skeleton leading to the words. The ihi is strong with the imagery and wehi which branches from this is very raw emotions and sadness as you realise what this poster is expressing. Makes good use of pathos.
Poster 4 -
This poster similar to the others uses colour and negative space as ihi to create the similar wehi feeling of sadness and disappointment that global warming is creating this therefore hurting nature with rising water temperatures and melting ice.
Poster 5 -
This poster uses contrast through positive and negative space to reflect the dark harsh messages of this poster. Although is doesn't specifically relate to the topics that I have researched, the techniques shown with the simplistic design create a poster that thrives of ihi and wehi as you understand what this poster is meaning.
Poster 6 -
The detail in this poster means all the messages are really well understood through the strong ihi. There is so much detail in the imagery which makes you understand and upset when you feel the wehi realising this is happening right now.
Poster 7 -
Poster 8 -
Pathos, you see this photo and truly feel disgusted as you feel the taste of plastic inside your mouth. The ihi imagery is very strong forcing wehi feelings of disgust. This poster also has logos as it writes and informs further.
Poster 9 -
Another poster using children as ihi and drawing on the wehi of emotions which branch when seeing children in this type of position. It is sad and reaches out to viewers for help.
Poster 10 -
This poster uses ihi with the shape of the smoke and the overcoming of the trees to spark a wehi reaction from this poster of devastation.
